Jackie D. McDaniel - White Hall Journal

He was born July 11, 1945 in Pine Bluff to the late Ernest and Joyce Dodson McDaniel. He attended schools in Dollarway and White Hall. He was the owner and operator of Dollarway Auto Electric for 32 years. Jackie was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of the American Legion. Jackie coached in the White Hall Baseball program for several years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marilyn Bumpass McDaniel; sisters, Judy Astello, Barbara McDaniel, and Roselyn McDaniel.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Kelly McDaniel; sons, James and Jason McDaniel of White Hall; daughters, Lana Ann McDaniel of Pine Bluff, Jennifer Guffy of Woodlawn; brother, Billy J. McDaniel of Okemah, Oklahoma; sisters, Carolyn Bowles of St. Louis, MO, Joy Bryan of El Dorado, and Janet Alverson of Baytown, Texas; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10am today in the chapel of Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall with Pastor Billy McDaniel officiating.

Visitation was from 2 to 4 pm yesterday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gary Bostian, Cameron Bolen, Sean Spradlin, Terry Gross, Jonathan Gross, Justin Gross, and David Alford with honorary pallbearer being J. W. Anderson.

Memorials may be made to the Jefferson County Humane Society.

The family will be at 4718 Crawford Road (Hwy 425)and 120 West Gate, Rison.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall(www.cranfordfh.com).
